One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
On the 17th (Fri), view the masterpieces at Etherton Gallery and then examine the collection at Museum of the Horse Soldier.

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Williams lies on one of the first highways ever built in America, the iconic "Route 66." The town boasts many inns, motels, restaurants, and shops, although its most important feature is serving as the southern terminus of a scenic railway leading to the area's most famous tourist attraction, the World Heritage-listed Grand Canyon.
Get a sense of the local culture at Bright Angel Point and Kolb Studio. Step out of the city life by going to Rim Trail and Bright Angel Trail. Venture out of the city with trips to Grand Canyon National Park (Pipe Creek Vista, Grand Canyon South Rim, & more).

Traveling by car from Scottsdale to Williams takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or take a bus. Traveling from Scottsdale in May, things will get cooler in Williams: highs are around 67°F and lows about 39°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Page.

Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Fri): surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour. On the next day, explore the stunning scenery at Antelope Canyon, explore the striking landscape at Horseshoe Bend, then trek along Cathedral Wash Trail, and finally take in the views from Navajo Bridge.

Drive from Williams to Page in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus.
