Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Take a break from the city and head to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. Step out of Page to go to Grand Canyon National Park and see Navajo Bridge, which is approximately 42 minutes away. There's still lots to do: surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour and have fun at Gunfighter Canyon.

Charlotte to Page is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and shuttle. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST) is minus 2 hours. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Charlotte in July: highs in Page hover around 98°F, while lows dip to 73°F. On the 29th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Williams.

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Williams lies on one of the first highways ever built in America, the iconic "Route 66." The town boasts many inns, motels, restaurants, and shops, although its most important feature is serving as the southern terminus of a scenic railway leading to the area's most famous tourist attraction, the World Heritage-listed Grand Canyon.
Get some cultural insight at Grand Canyon Wine Company and Montezuma Castle National Monument. Escape the urban bustle at Grand Canyon South Rim and Bearizona Wildlife Park. Get out of town with these interesting Williams side-trips: Grand Canyon National Park (Hopi House, Powell Point, &more).

Traveling by car from Page to Williams takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. Plan for slightly colder temperatures traveling from Page in July, with highs in Williams at 81°F and lows at 56°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Thu) early enough to go by car to Phoenix.

Phoenix is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. Start off your visit on the 2nd (Fri): see the interesting displays at Musical Instrument Museum, thenadmire the architecture and history at Old Adobe Mission, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Desert Botanical Garden. On the 3rd (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see a world frozen in time at Goldfield Ghost Town, look for gifts at Mammoth Mine Rock Shop, and then take a stroll through Old Town Scottsdale.

You can drive from Williams to Phoenix in 3 hours. Other options are to fly; or take a bus. Prepare for much hotter weather when traveling from Williams in August: high temperatures in Phoenix hover around 105°F and lows are around 83°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Sat) early enough to drive to Tucson.

You can drive from Phoenix to Tucson in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or fly. In August, Tucson is little chillier than Phoenix - with highs of 96°F and lows of 73°F. On the 5th (Mon), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
