A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Williams lies on one of the first highways ever built in America, the iconic "Route 66." The town boasts many inns, motels, restaurants, and shops, although its most important feature is serving as the southern terminus of a scenic railway leading to the area's most famous tourist attraction, the World Heritage-listed Grand Canyon.
Visiting Grand Canyon South Rim and Hopi House will get you outdoors. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Williams: Grand Canyon National Park (Mather Point & Powell Point). There's much more to do: get to know the resident critters at Bearizona Wildlife Park, tee off at Elephant Rocks at Williams, and learn about winemaking at Grand Canyon Wine Company.

Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
On the 7th (Fri), look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas. On your second day here, enjoy some diversion at Gunfighter Canyon, steep yourself in history at Navajo Bridge, thentake in breathtaking views at Marble Canyon, thenexplore the striking landscape at Horseshoe Bend, and finally explore the stunning scenery at Antelope Canyon.

Getting from Williams to Page by car takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In June, Page is a bit warmer than Williams - with highs of °F and lows of °F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sat) so you can drive to Sedona.
