Phoenix

Phoenix is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. Kick off your visit on the 30th (Sat): admire the masterpieces at Heard Museum, get the adrenaline pumping with an extreme tour, and then admire the natural beauty at Desert Botanical Garden. On the next day, see the interesting displays at Musical Instrument Museum, admire the striking features of Taliesin West, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

Los Angeles to Phoenix is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also fly; or drive. The time zone changes from Pacific Standard Time (PST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST), which is usually a 1 hour difference. Traveling from Los Angeles in March, you will find days in Phoenix are a bit warmer (82°F), and nights are about the same (57°F). You will have some time to spend on the 1st (Mon) before leaving for Sedona.

Kick off your visit on the 1st (Mon): explore the striking landscape at Cathedral Rock. On your second day here, explore the striking landscape at Bell Rock, cruise along Red Rock Scenic Byway (SR 179), and then explore the stunning scenery at Oak Creek Canyon.

You can drive from Phoenix to Sedona in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and taxi; or take a shuttle. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Phoenix in April; daily highs in Sedona reach 72°F and lows reach 48°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Tue) so you can drive to Grand Canyon National Park.

On the 3rd (Wed), hike the day away at Bright Angel Trail. And it doesn't end there: explore the stunning scenery at Grand Canyon South Rim, hike along Tonto Trail, take some stellar pictures from Mather Point, and get outside with Shoshone Point.

Traveling by car from Sedona to Grand Canyon National Park takes 2.5 hours. Traveling from Sedona in April, you will find days in Grand Canyon National Park are slightly colder (62°F), and nights are much colder (26°F). Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Page.

Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
On the 7th (Sun), choose your vessel at Surf Lake Powell, then explore and take pictures at Horseshoe Bend, and then explore the stunning scenery at Antelope Canyon. On the 8th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas.

You can drive from Grand Canyon National Park to Page in 2.5 hours. While traveling from Grand Canyon National Park, expect somewhat warmer days and much warmer nights in Page, ranging from highs of 72°F to lows of 48°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
