Valley of the Vapors

Set deep in the Ouachita Mountains, the city of Hot Springs almost completely surrounds the national park of the same name.
Get out of town with these interesting Hot Springs side-trips: Little Rock (Testament: The Little Rock Nine Monument, Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site, &more) and Petit Jean State Park (in Morrilton). The adventure continues: admire the natural beauty at Garvan Woodland Gardens, deepen your understanding at Garland County Library, take in the awesome beauty at Hot Springs Mountain, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Anthony Chapel.

Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, the whole town of Eureka Springs is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
You've now added Arkansas Grand Canyon to your itinerary. Step out of Eureka Springs to go to Rogers and see War Eagle Mill, which is approximately 36 minutes away.
