Hilo — 1 night

One of the island of Hawaii's major towns, Hilo contains a mix of Asian and Polynesian cultures and is known for its proximity to a national park encompassing two active volcanoes.
On the 25th (Thu), pick up some local products at Hilo Farmers Market, admire the natural beauty at Liliuokalani Gardens, and then see the world from above with a helicopter tour. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 26th (Fri): Head underground at Kazumura Cave Tours, admire the natural beauty at Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve and Garden, then take in the dramatic scenery at Akaka Falls State Park, and finally admire the sheer force of Rainbow Falls.
