Gateway to the Black Hills

South Dakota's second-largest city, Rapid City has for many years served as a gateway to the West.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rapid City: Custer (Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, &more), Keystone (Goodtyme Photo & Mount Rushmore National Memorial) and Crazy Horse Memorial (in Crazy Horse). There's much more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Bear Country USA, take in the dramatic natural features at Badlands Wall, take in the exciting artwork at Suzie Cappa Art Center, and explore and take pictures at Loop Road.
