Fort Lauderdale to Boston is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In December, Boston is colder than Fort Lauderdale - with highs of 43°F and lows of 31°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Mon) early enough to go by car to Stowe.

Stowe — 4 nights

The Ski Capital of the East

Kids will appreciate attractions like Eden Dogsledding and Smugglers' Notch Resort. Change things up with these side-trips from Stowe: Killington Resort (in Killington), Fisher Covered Railroad Bridge (in Wolcott) and Okemo Mountain Resort (in Ludlow). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Stowe Mountain Resort, relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, trek along Stowe Recreation Path, and fly down the slopes at Stowe Mountain Resort Cross-Country Touring Center.

Traveling by car from Boston to Stowe takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of flight and car; or take a bus. Traveling from Boston in January, things will get little chillier in Stowe: highs are around 28°F and lows about 8°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
