Los Angeles to Big Sur is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and taxi. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Los Angeles in May: high temperatures in Big Sur hover around 65°F and lows are around 51°F. You'll have a few hours on the 23rd (Sun) to wrap things up before traveling to Sausalito.
