"The Capital of the Cape," Hyannis serves as Cape Cod's main transportation and commercial hub.
Get a sense of the local culture at Whydah Pirate Museum and Chatham's Godfrey Windmill. Take a break from the city and head to Mayflower Beach and Ridgevale Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Church of the Transfiguration (in Orleans), Chatham Marconi Maritime Center (in North Chatham) and Crosby Landing Beach (in Brewster). The adventure continues: stroll through West Dennis Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Bass River Beach, steep yourself in history at Edward Gorey House, and see the interesting displays at John F Kennedy Hyannis Museum.

You can drive from Hyannis to Provincetown in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In July in Provincetown, expect temperatures between 79°F during the day and 64°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Sun) to allow enough time to fly back home.
