Venture out of the city with trips to Ohio Caverns (in West Liberty), Mount Vernon (Spi, Kokosing Gap Trail, & more) and Gallant Farm Preserve (in Delaware). More than just one of the nation's top business centers, Columbus is a mixture of many different parts of America, situated at the spot where the so-called "Bible Belt" meets the varied cultures of the Great Plains and Appalachia.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Columbus: Dawes Arboretum (in Newark) and Powell (Columbus Zoo and Aquarium & Zoombezi Bay). There's lots more to do: test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, shop like a local with Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, engage your brain at Center of Science and Industry (COSI), and admire all the interesting features of Ohio Stadium.
