Known as a ski resort town, Aspen's history goes back to its roots as a silver-mining village tucked away in an isolated valley of the Rocky Mountains.
Step out of the city life by going to Aspen Mountain / Ajax and Aspen Snowmass. Venture out of the city with trips to Thermal Spas (in Glenwood Springs) and Woody Creek Distillery (in Basalt). On the 28th (Mon), dedicate a day to the elevated beauty of Buttermilk Mountain. The adventure continues: pause for some photo ops at The John Denver Sanctuary.
