Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Get outdoors at Dry Tortugas National Park and Fishing Charters & Tours. Explore hidden gems such as Fort Zachary Taylor and The Turtle Hospital. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Key West: Bahia Honda State Park (in Big Pine Key), SpaTerre at Little Palm Island Resort (in Little Torch Key) and Marathon (Sombrero Beach & Crane Point Museum & Nature Center). There's still lots to do: admire all the interesting features of The Overseas Highway, contemplate the long history of Truman Little White House, stroll the grounds of Key West Cemetery, and look for all kinds of wild species at Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory.
