Honolulu

Big Pineapple

In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Waikiki Beach and Kailua Beach Park. Venture out of the city with trips to Polynesian Cultural Center (in Laie), Haleiwa (Haleiwa Beach Park, Waimea Bay, &more) and Kailua (Kalama Beach Park & Lanikai Beach). There's lots more to do: take in the pleasant sights at Diamond Head State Monument, examine the collection at Bishop Museum, pause for some photo ops at Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau State Monument, and explore the activities along Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.

In July, daily temperatures in Honolulu can reach 88°F, while at night they dip to 75°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
