In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Waikiki Beach and Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. Explore Honolulu's surroundings by going to Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau State Monument (in Pupukea), Kailua Beach Park (in Kailua) and Laie (Malaekahana State Recreation Area & Polynesian Cultural Center). There's lots more to do: take in the pleasant sights at Diamond Head State Monument, steep yourself in history at Iolani Palace, take a tour of Battleship Missouri Memorial, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Sunset Beach Park.
