In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.Visit Makapuu Lighthouse Trail and National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific for their historical value. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Lanikai Beach and Photography Tours. Venture out of the city with trips to Kaneohe (Byodo-In Temple & Tropical Farms Macadamia Nut Farm and Farm Tour), Ko Olina Lagoons (in Kapolei) and Kailua (Lanikai Pillboxes & Kailua Beach Park). Next up on the itinerary: stroll through Sharks Cove, get close to the beloved marine mammals with a swim-with-the-dolphins experience, hunt for treasures at Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace, and appreciate the views at Nu’uanu Pali.
