La Pine is a city in Deschutes County, Oregon, United States, incorporated on December 7, 2006.La Pine is part of the Bend, Oregon Metropolitan Statistical Area. You've now added Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway to your itinerary. Step off the beaten path and head to Fort Rock State Natural Area and Plaikni Falls. Appreciate the collections at Oregon Observatory and Homestead Village Museum. Get out of town with these interesting La Pine side-trips: Waldo Lake (in Oakridge), Trail to Benham Falls (in Sunriver) and Crater Lake National Park (Garfield Peak, Watchman Peak, & more). There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at East Lake, take in the exciting artwork at Artists Gallery Sunriver, contemplate the long history of Fort Klamath Museum, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Fall River Trail.

To find other places to visit, where to stay, maps, and more tourist information, refer to the La Pine online trip builder .

In September, plan for daily highs up to 73°F, and evening lows to 44°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
