High in the Sierra Nevada mountains on the shore of one of America’s most scenic lakes, South Lake Tahoe captures the spirit of the outdoors and serves as a hub for tourism activities surrounding the lake.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Fri): contemplate the waterfront views at Emerald Bay State Park and then stroll through Eagle Falls Trail. On your second day here, indulge your senses at Wine Tours From Tahoe and then get some thrills on the water with a speed boat tour.

Napa — 3 nights

Located just 80 km (50 mi) north of San Francisco, Napa sits at the southern end of the scenic Napa Valley, one of the world's major wine regions.
Step out of Napa with an excursion to Muir Woods National Monument in Mill Valley--about 58 minutes away. Dedicate the 29th (Fri) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. It doesn't end there: soar above the sights with a balloon tour and do a tasting at Domaine Carneros.
