Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Take a break from Las Vegas with a short trip to Hoover Dam in Boulder City, about 50 minutes away. There's much more to do: explore the stunning scenery at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, ponder the design of Fountains of Bellagio, shop like a local with The Strip, and examine the collection at The Mob Museum.

New York City to Las Vegas is an approximately 9-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from New York City to Las Vegas.
