Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Go for a jaunt from Las Vegas to Boulder City to see Hoover Dam about 50 minutes away. The adventure continues: explore the stunning scenery at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, ponder the design of Fountains of Bellagio, try your luck at Casino At The Venetian, and admire the natural beauty at Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.

Chicago to Las Vegas is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Chicago to Las Vegas, you'll gain 2 hours due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Chicago in July, plan for much warmer days in Las Vegas, with highs around 104°F, while nights are a bit warmer with lows around 81°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Thu) early enough to travel to Moab.

Red Desert

The gateway to Utah's popular canyon country, Moab sits engulfed in the middle of desert wilderness.
Step out of Moab to go to Arches National Park and see Delicate Arch, which is approximately 38 minutes away. On the 23rd (Fri), dedicate a day to the elevated beauty of Arches National Park. Make the 25th (Sun) a memorable day with a climbing tour. There's still lots to do: see Off-Road Tours, scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, take in the dramatic natural features at Turret Arch, and view the masterpieces at Tom Till Gallery.

Traveling by combination of flight and car from Las Vegas to Moab takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and car.
