Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
Change things up with a short trip to Disneyland Park in Anaheim (about 36 minutes away). Pack the 15th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Universal Studios Hollywood. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at The Getty Center, enjoy the sand and surf at Santa Monica State Beach, and take in the waterfront at Santa Monica Pier.
