Lahaina — 7 nights

Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
You've added Maalaea Harbor, Sliding Sands Trail, Haleakala Crater, and other attractions to your itinerary. Explore Lahaina's surroundings by going to Wailea Beach (in Wailea) and Iao Valley (in Wailuku). There's still lots to do: stroll around Lahaina Banyan Court, get engrossed in the history at Wo Hing Temple Museum, visit Lahaina Front Street, and examine the collection at Whalers Village Museum.

Hana — 2 nights

Hana is one of the most isolated communities in Hawaii, with a permanent population of just over 1,000 people.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Charles Lindbergh's Grave, Ke‘anae Point, Fagan's Cross, and other attractions you added. Start off your visit on the 23rd (Sun): appreciate the history behind Fagan's Cross, contemplate the waterfront views at Venus Pool (Waioka Pond), explore the fascinating underground world of Hana Lava Tubes, take in the dramatic scenery at Waimoku Falls, then admire the sheer force of Waikani Falls, and finally take some stellar pictures from Ke‘anae Point. Keep things going the next day: tour the pleasant surroundings at Red Sand Beach - Kaihalulu Beach, kick back and relax at Hana Bay Beach Park, then enjoy the sand and surf at Wai'anapanapa State Park, and finally get engrossed in the history at Hana Cultural Center.

You can fly from Lahaina to Hana in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. January in Hana sees daily highs of 81°F and lows of 63°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 25th (Tue) to allow time for the flight back home.
