Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Thu) early enough to ride a ferry to Saint Ignace.

Saint Ignace

Traveling by ferry from Mackinac Island to Saint Ignace takes an hour. Expect a daytime high around 73°F in July, and nighttime lows around 58°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 11th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Paradise.

Paradise is an unincorporated community in Whitefish Township, Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Michigan.Paradise is on the northeastern portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, on the western side of Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior, about 60mi by road from Sault Ste. Kick off your visit on the 12th (Mon): examine the collection at Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, take an in-depth tour of Whitefish Point Light, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Tahquamenon Falls State Park.

Getting from Saint Ignace to Paradise by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of bus and taxi. Traveling from Saint Ignace in July, expect little chillier with lows of 53°F in Paradise. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Mon) early enough to travel to Copper Harbor.

Copper Harbor

Copper Harbor is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northeastern Keweenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Change things up with these side-trips from Copper Harbor: Italian Hall Site (in Calumet), Hancock (Quincy Mine & McLain State Park) and Mineral Museum of Michigan (in Houghton). There's still lots to do: cruise along Brockway Mountain Drive, walk around Hunter's Point Park, enjoy the sea views from Fort Wilkins State Park, and admire the sheer force of Eagle River Falls.
