West Glacier

West Glacier is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in eastern Flathead County, Montana, United States. On the 15th (Sat), cruise along Going-to-the-Sun Road, take in the dramatic natural features at Jackson Glacier Overlook, and then relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 16th (Sun): trek along Iceberg Lake Trail, take in the dramatic natural features at Grinnell Glacier, and then trek along Highline Trail.

Tampa to West Glacier is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Tampa to West Glacier, you'll gain 2 hours due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Tampa in August, plan for slightly colder days and much colder nights in West Glacier: temperatures range from 83°F by day to 48°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Sun) early enough to drive to Bozeman.
