Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
Your inner history buff will appreciate San Felipe de Neri Church and Old San Ysidro Church. Explore hidden gems such as Tinkertown Museum and New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. When in Albuquerque, make a side trip to see Sky City Cultural Center & Haak'u Museum in Pueblo of Acoma, approximately 1h 30 min away. There's still lots to do: explore the engaging exhibits at Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque, get engrossed in the history at Albuquerque Museum, wander the streets of Albuquerque Old Town, and examine the collection at New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society.
