Washington is a town in and the county seat of Rappahannock County, Virginia, United States. Visiting Sky Meadows State Park and Bull Run Mountains Natural Area Preserve will get you outdoors. Head to R.H. Ballard Shop & Gallery and River District Artsfor plenty of shopping. Venture out of the city with trips to Culpeper (Museum of Culpeper History, Moving Meadows Farm, &more), Hartland Family Orchard (in Markham) and Gallery On Madison (in Middleburg). Fredericksburg is an independent city located in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the Eastern United States. Your inner history buff will appreciate Kenmore Plantation and Gardens and Fredericksburg National Cemetery. Visiting Burke Lake Park and Occoquan Regional Park will get you outdoors. Step out of Fredericksburg with an excursion to Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Woodbridge--about 42 minutes away. McLean is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fairfax County in Northern Virginia. Start off your visit on the 19th (Sat): explore the striking landscape of Great Falls Park and then hike along Turkey Run Park. Keep things going the next day: identify plant and animal life at Scott's Run Nature Preserve, browse the different shops at Tysons Corner Center, and then buy something for everyone on your list at Tysons Galleria Shopping Center.
