City of Roses

A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Willamette River Trail and Salem's Riverfront Carousel. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Willamette Valley and Gilbert House Children's Museum. Go for a jaunt from Portland to Corbett to see Latourell Falls about 44 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: snap pictures at St. Johns Bridge, admire the natural beauty at International Rose Test Garden, stroll through Forest Park, and stop by Powell's City of Books.

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
