The city of Hood River is the seat of Hood River County, Oregon, United States. Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum and Fire Museum in City Hall will appeal to museum buffs. Visiting Timberline Lodge and Ski Area and Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area will get you outdoors. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Hood River: Multnomah Falls (in Bridal Veil) and Multnomah Falls (in Troutdale). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum, cruise along Hood River County Fruit Loop, learn about all things military at Fort Dalles Museum and Anderson Homestead, and do a tasting at Springhouse Cellar.
