For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.

Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 26th (Thu) at Discovery Cove. There's still lots to do: make an unforgettable trip to Walt Disney World Resort, get in on the family fun at Epcot, explore the world behind art at Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, and try out the rides at Happily Ever After Fireworks.

Charlotte to Orlando is an approximately 9-hour car ride. You can also fly; or drive; or take a bus. Expect a bit warmer weather when traveling from Charlotte in December: highs in Orlando hover around 77°F, while lows dip to 59°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
