On the 9th (Mon), trek along Hammock Hills Nature Trails, identify plant and animal life at Springers Point, and then stroll the grounds of British Cemetery.

Asheville to Ocracoke is an approximately 10-hour combination of car and ferry. You can also do a combination of bus, train, and ferry. Traveling from Asheville in March, Ocracoke is a bit warmer at night with lows of 45°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Mon) so you can go by car to Hatteras.
