Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Escape the urban bustle at Roaring Fork and Clingmans Dome. Explore hidden gems such as Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail and Tuckaleechee Caverns. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Pigeon Forge: Dry Falls (in Highlands), River Rafting & Tubing (in Hartford) and Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Laurel Falls & Grotto Falls Trail). The adventure continues: do a tasting at Tennessee Homemade Wines, revel in the low prices at Tanger Outlets Sevierville, brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Sugarlands Distilling Company, and stop by Smoky Mountain Knife Works.

With a population of less than 300, Harpers Ferry is as quaint as they come.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Thu): admire all the interesting features of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Keep things going the next day: trek along Appalachian National Scenic Trail, then pause for some serene contemplation at Ruins of St. John's Episcopal Church, and then pick up some local products at Orr's Farm Market.
