Step out of the city life by going to Needles Highway and Badlands National Park. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Minuteman Missile National Historic Site and Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway. Get out of town with these interesting Rapid City side-trips: Wind Cave National Park (in Wind Cave National Park) and Yellow Mounds Overlook (in Badlands National Park). There's more to do: do a tasting at Prairie Berry Winery and admire the landmark architecture of Chapel in the Hills.
