10 days in Saint Louis Itinerary

Test the local claim that Saint Louis is second only to Washington, D.C. in the number of free activities available by spending your holiday exploring the city's central neighborhoods, famous for their restored century-old red-brick buildings.

Head to Old Village Mercantile and West County Centerfor plenty of shopping. Take a break from the city and head to The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House and Elephant Rocks State Park. Get out of town with these interesting Saint Louis side-trips: Six Flags St Louis (in Eureka), Pere Marquette State Park (in Grafton) and St. Clair Square (in Fairview Heights). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at City Museum, identify plant and animal life at Rockwoods Reservation, enjoy breathtaking views from The Gateway Arch, and take in nature's colorful creations at Missouri Botanical Garden.
