As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Visiting The San Antonio River Walk and Lost Maples State Natural Area will get you outdoors. Do your shopping at Tower of the Americas and The Tinsmith's Wife. Explore San Antonio's surroundings by going to Fredericksburg (Grape Creek Vineyards on Main & Grape Creek Vineyards), The Y.O. Ranch (in Mountain Home) and Cibolo Nature Center (in Boerne). There's lots more to do: get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at SeaWorld San Antonio, appreciate the extensive heritage of La Villita Historic Arts Village, explore the fascinating underground world of Natural Bridge Caverns, and contemplate the long history of The Alamo.
