Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Wed): enjoy the sand and surf at Condado Beach, then scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, and then zoom along the surf with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure.

Destroyed over the centuries by earthquakes and hurricanes, resilient Aguadilla now serves as one of Puerto Rico's top surfing destinations.
Explore Aguadilla's surroundings by going to Parroquia San Jose De La Montana (in Lares) and Horseback Riding Tours (in Utuado). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Crashboat Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Survival Beach, cool off at Las Cascadas Water Park, and don't miss a visit to Monumento al Cacique Mabodamaca.

You can drive from San Juan to Aguadilla in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. In July in Aguadilla, expect temperatures between 87°F during the day and 75°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sun) to allow enough time to drive to Luquillo.

Luquillo

Luquillo is a municipality of Puerto Rico (U.S.) located in the northeast coast, northwest of Fajardo; and east of Rio Grande. Step out of Luquillo to go to El Yunque National Forest and see El Yunque Rain Forest, which is approximately 34 minutes away. You can drive from Aguadilla to Luquillo in 2.5 hours. Other options are to fly; or do a combination of car and shuttle. Expect a daytime high around 88°F in July, and nighttime lows around 79°F. On the 23rd (Thu), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
