Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Family-friendly places like Space Needle and The Museum of Flight will thrill your kids. Dedicate the 23rd (Fri) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's much more to do: wander the streets of Pike Place Market, admire the masterpieces at Seattle Art Museum, explore and take pictures at Safeco Field, and shop like a local with Chihuly Garden and Glass.
