Winchester — 1 night

Winchester is an independent city located in the northwestern portion of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Start off your visit on the 1st (Wed): see the interesting displays at Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum, then get a taste of life in the country at Rocking S Ranch, and then indulge your thirst for a good beer at Escutcheon Brewing Co. Keep things going the next day: engage your brain at Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum, explore the world behind art at Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, and then get engrossed in the history at Stonewall Jackson's Headquarters.

Richmond to Winchester is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Staunton is an independent city in the U.S. Commonwealth of Virginia.
