Fewer than 400 people call Keystone home year-round, but the population explodes in summer when crowds flock to nearby Mount Rushmore.
Get outdoors at Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Sylvan Lake. Kids will enjoy Custer State Park and Wildlife Loop Road. Step out of Keystone to go to Custer and see Needles Eye Tunnel, which is approximately 44 minutes away.
