Wall is a town in Pennington County, South Dakota, United States. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Minuteman Missile National Historic Site and Notch Trail. Escape the urban bustle at Loop Road and Yellow Mounds Overlook. Change things up with a short trip to Panorama Point Overlook in Badlands National Park (about 30 minutes away). Generally considered to be the oldest town established by European Americans in the Black Hills, Custer began as a mining town.
Get outdoors at Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Custer State Park. Museum-lovers will get to explore The Museum @ Black Hills Institute and Custer County 1881 Courthouse. Take a break from Custer with a short trip to Presidential Trail in Keystone, about 30 minutes away. Traveling by car from Wall to Custer takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and taxi. Traveling from Wall in June, expect Custer to be little chillier, temps between 73°F and 48°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Wed) so you can drive to Deadwood.
