Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sat): tee off at Hermann Park and then admire nature's wide array of creatures at Houston Zoo. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 19th (Sun): witness the site of a historic battle at San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site and then admire the masterpieces at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Start off your visit on the 20th (Mon): examine the collection at The Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum, shop like a local with The San Antonio River Walk, contemplate the long history of The Alamo, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Little Church of La Villita, and finally get to know the fascinating history of La Villita Historic Arts Village. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 21st (Tue): Head underground at Natural Bridge Caverns and then contemplate the long history of King William Historic District.

Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.
Texas State Capitol and The Driskill will appeal to history buffs. Get in touch with nature at Lady Bird Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail and Congress Avenue Bridge / Austin Bats. There's much more to do: take a stroll through South Congress Avenue, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Mary's Cathedral, get a taste of the local shopping with 6th Street, and explore the activities along Barton Springs Pool.

One of the country's most popular shopping destinations, Dallas and its sprawling suburbs include more shopping centers per capita than any other urban center in America.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Sat): steep yourself in history at Top O'Hill Terrace, then meet the residents at Fort Worth Zoo, and then examine the collection at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. On the 26th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: wander the streets of Sundance Square and then contemplate the long history of Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District.
