First Eastern National Park

The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
On the 25th (Tue), grab your bike and head to Carriage Roads. On your second day here, hike along Precipice Trail, take in the dramatic natural features at Thunder Hole, and then hike along Champlain Mountain & Beehive Loop Trail.

Newark to Acadia National Park is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and car. Burlington is the most populous city in the U.S. Kick off your visit on the 30th (Sun): see the interesting displays at Shelburne Museum, stop by Lake Champlain Chocolates, then hike along Burlington Bike Path, and finally don't miss a visit to Church Street Marketplace. Keep things going the next day: fly down the slopes at Stowe Mountain Resort, hike along Stowe Recreation Path, and then walk around Waterfront Park.

Alexandria Bay is a village in Jefferson County, New York, United States. Your day by day itinerary now includes Boldt Castle and Yacht House. On the 1st (Tue), step into the grandiose world of Singer Castle on Dark Island, then step off the mainland to explore Thousand Islands, then take an in-depth tour of Boldt Castle and Yacht House, and finally step off the mainland to explore Heart Island. Keep things going the next day: head off the coast to Antique Boat Museum, brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Clayton Distillery, then take in the views from Thousand Islands Bridge, and finally immerse yourself in nature at Wellesley Island.
