Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum and Molly Brown House Museum. Museum-lovers will get to explore Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art and Black American West Museum. Explore Denver's surroundings by going to Littleton (Deer Creek Canyon Park & Roxborough State Park). There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Center for Colorado Women's History at the Byers-Evans House, explore the world behind art at Denver Art Museum, wander the streets of LoDo, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. John's Cathedral.

More than just a convenient resting place for travelers on their way to the national park encompassing the Front Range of the Rockies, Estes Park is a popular place to visit in its own right.
On the 13th (Thu), take in nature's colorful creations at Benson Park Sculpture Garden, then take an in-depth tour of Loveland Museum/Gallery, then view the masterpieces at Mountain Blown Glass, and finally examine the collection at Red Rose Rock Shop & Dick's Rock Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: kick back and relax at The Beach at Grand Lake and then stop by Images of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Founded in 1859 as part of the Gold Rush in the Rockies, Breckenridge boasts a main street lined with colorful wooden storefronts housing cafes and shops, giving the effect of a thriving western town from the 19th century.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Sat): look for all kinds of wild species at White River National Forest, get engrossed in the history at Frisco Historic Park and Museum, and then sample the fine beverages at Breckenridge Distillery. On the 16th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: hit the slopes at Vail Mountain Resort.

Start off your visit on the 17th (Mon): hit the slopes at Yampa River Botanic Park, head outdoors with Ski Butlers Steamboat, and then admire the sheer force of Fish Creek Falls.
