Georgia's oldest city, Savannah displays its colonial history proudly on every corner.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Fort Pulaski National Monument and Tybee Island Lighthouse Museum. Colonial Park Cemetery and Bonaventure Cemetery are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Savannah in March since evenings lows in St. Augustine dip to 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Sat) early enough to travel to Key West.

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Fort Zachary Taylor and Bahia Honda State Park. Get a sense of the local culture at Key West Lighthouse and Keeper's Quarters Museum and Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center. Step out of Key West to go to Grassy Key and see Dolphin Research Center, which is approximately 1h 20 min away. The adventure continues: see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, look for all kinds of wild species at Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, and contemplate the long history of Truman Little White House.

Getting from St. Augustine to Key West by combination of bus and flight takes about 7 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In March, Key West is somewhat warmer than St. Augustine - with highs of 30°C and lows of 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 24th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
