Keystone — 2 nights

Fewer than 400 people call Keystone home year-round, but the population explodes in summer when crowds flock to nearby Mount Rushmore.
Bring the kids along to Sylvan Lake and Jewel Cave National Monument. There's still lots to do: admire the majestic nature at Custer State Park, cruise along Iron Mountain Road, explore the striking landscape of Mount Rushmore National Memorial, and trek along Presidential Trail.

A genuine cowboy city, Cody is famous for its nightly rodeos and its proximity to the protected wilderness areas of the world's first national park, now designated as one of the country's World Heritage Sites.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Mon): examine the collection at Buffalo Bill Center of the West, then see the interesting displays at Cody Firearms Museum, and then hit the slopes at Beartooth Basin.
