Known as the "Venice of America" because of its extensive network of navigable waterways, Fort Lauderdale welcomes over 10 million annual visitors, most of them attracted by the city's popular beaches and marinas.
For shopping fun, head to Aventura Mall or Bayside Marketplace. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at South Beach and Hollywood Beach. Step out of Fort Lauderdale with an excursion to Lincoln Road in Miami Beach--about 42 minutes away. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Fort Lauderdale Beach and buy something for everyone on your list at Sawgrass Mills.
