Take a bus from Colorado Springs to Denver in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or fly. In April, daily temperatures in Denver can reach 59°F, while at night they dip to 34°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Wed) to allow time to drive to Breckenridge.
