Zion National Park

Towering cliffs of red, white, and pink Navajo sandstone, stream-carved slot canyons, and big blue sky all characterize Zion National Park.
Spend the 9th (Sat) exploring nature at The Narrows. There's still lots to do: hike along Angel's Landing, take in breathtaking views at Zion's Main Canyon, take a memorable drive along Zion Shuttle, and admire all the interesting features of Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.

Bryce Canyon National Park

You can find hoodoos--rock pillars formed by erosion--all around the world, but those of Bryce Canyon National Park remain the standard bearers thanks to their bright red color, tall stature, and arrangement in large amphitheaters.
On the 13th (Wed), take in panoramic vistas at Bryce Point, get great views at Inspiration Point, and then stroll through Sunset Point. On the next day, trek along Navajo/Queens Garden Loop.

Utah's capital and most populous city, Salt Lake City boasts a small-town feel, big-city amenities, and plenty of nature on its doorstep.
Appreciate the collections at Natural History Museum of Utah and Hill Aerospace Museum. Visit Temple Square and Salt Lake Temple for their historical value. Step out of Salt Lake City with an excursion to Deer Valley Resort in Heber City--about 44 minutes away. There's more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at The Tabernacle and engage your brain at Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
