The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
Attractions like Park Loop Road and Thunder Hole make great kid-friendly stops. The adventure continues: take in the awesome beauty at Cadillac Mountain, stroll through Champlain Mountain & Beehive Loop Trail, grab your bike and head to Carriage Roads, and trek along Bubble Rock.

Best known for its 1692 witch trials, Salem has a number of significant historical sites, a bustling downtown, and many witch-themed attractions.
Attractions like Peabody Essex Museum and Canobie Lake Park make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to Concord (Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House, The Old North Bridge, &more), Searles Castle (in Windham) and Gloucester (Cape Ann Museum, Dolphin & Whale Watching, &more).
