The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
Here are some ideas for day two: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Cadillac Mountain, stroll through Bubble Rock, then examine the collection at The Seal Cove Auto Museum, and finally cruise along Park Loop Road.

North Conway combines colonial New England architecture with outlet shops selling goods from some of the world's most recognizable brands, all set amid the scenery of the White Mountains.
On the 4th (Thu), stop by Naked Bohemian, take a memorable drive along Mt Washington Auto Rd, then take a memorable drive along Kancamagus Highway, and finally get great views at Cathedral Ledge. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 5th (Fri): take in the dramatic scenery at Glen Ellis Falls, admire the sheer force of Jackson Falls, see the sky in a new way at Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center, then admire the sheer force of Diana's Baths, and finally stroll through Rocky Gorge.

You can drive from Acadia National Park to North Conway in 5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of taxi, bus, and car; or do a combination of flight and bus. July in North Conway sees daily highs of 78°F and lows of 61°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Lincoln.
