Homer is a city located in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. Start off your visit on the 3rd (Sat): hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour, then learn more about the world around you at Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, and then grab your bike and head to Homer Spit.

Home to nearly half of Alaska's population, the port city of Anchorage covers a staggering area of over 4,900 sq km (1,900 sq mi) surrounded by mountains.
Visit Alaska Native Heritage Center and Tony Knowles Coastal Trail for their historical value. Get some cultural insight at Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center and Alaska Native Medical Center Craft Shop. Change things up with a short trip to Pioneer Falls in Palmer (about 54 minutes away). The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, hike along Virgin Creek Falls Trail, explore the striking landscape at Beluga Point, and take in the dramatic scenery at Thunderbird Falls.
